Donald is CEO and co-founder of The Diversity Movement. Known globally for its groundbreaking diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programming that drives real-world business results, the company was an Inc. Magazine 2021 Best in Business awardee in DE&I Advocacy. In 2022, Fast Company included its MicroVideo platform in its list of “World Changing Ideas.” Recognized as a Forbes Next 1000 honoree, Thompson was named to the Business North Carolina Power List of leaders making a significant impact on organizations, industries, and communities.

Donald is an entrepreneur, public speaker, author, podcaster, Certified Diversity Executive (CDE), and executive coach. Recognized as a thought-leader who brings a broad executive perspective across multiple industries on goal achievement, company culture, and exponential growth, Thompson serves as a board member for several organizations in the fields of technology, marketing, sports, and entertainment. He has led companies that attained successful exits with strong returns for shareholders and employees.

Bob Batchelor, Ph.D.

Bob is an award-winning communications strategist with an extensive background in executive communications and content creation. Before joining The Diversity Movement, Bob taught strategic communications, public relations, and writing at several colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad. As a specialist in historical consulting and heritage management, he helped Fortune 500 corporations, startups, and national sports franchises use their heritage as connectors to engage with audiences via authentic storytelling.

As Director of PR and Publications at The Diversity Movement, Bob ensures that the best information is delivered to our clients, customers, and stakeholders, while also raising awareness in the marketplace. His goal is to help clients and others spark lasting culture change, thereby creating a more inclusive society and helping businesses achieve their financial goals. As a critically acclaimed cultural historian and biographer, Bob has published several award-winning books.
